Wilderness Within : A Guided Lent Journal For Prayer And Meditation
$13.95This Lent, allow Sr. Josephine Garrett to be your guide as you explore the interior wilderness of your heart and invite Jesus in to heal you with his love.
Have you ever wondered why Jesus went into the wilderness? Some believe it was to reveal his divinity or to restore humanity’s relationship with God. In Wilderness Within, Sr. Josephine Garrett, a mental health counselor and popular speaker, reflects on the belief that Jesus went into the wilderness to rescue us–to rescue us! The Lord does not want us to view the wilderness as something that causes worry, anxiety, or fear. “What if, instead,” Sr. Josephine writes, “we looked at how God has been a faithful provider in the wilderness and trusted that He will do the same for us in the wilderness journey ahead? What if we joyfully take His hand and journey into the wilderness, because when Christ enters there, ‘this opposite place of the garden becomes the place of reconciliation and healing'” (Pope Benedict XVI, Jesus of Nazareth)?
In Wilderness Within, Sr. Josephine will guide you through the forty days of Lent to attend to the wilderness of your heart as a place to be explored, restored, and sent on mission by Jesus’s tender love.
*Week of Ash Wednesday: Enter Lent by recognizing your ability to always begin anew in Christ.
*Week One: Open your heart to God’s love, allowing yourself to reverence your heart as a gift from your Creator.
*Week Two: Reflect on the truth that we are created for relationships, and examine the relationships in your life.
*Week Three: Take an honest look at your limitations, wounds, and sin guided by a spirit of humility and repentance.
*Week Four: Begin to see how God designed your heart to be rescued by him and grow in your capacity to be healed by him.
*Week Five: Leave the wilderness of your heart so that you can go on mission–with a heart restored by Christ’s love–to love your neighbor and be a good steward of the gifts and charisms given to you.
*Holy Week: Follow in Jesus’s footsteps to the Cross and discover how you can love him well through each stage of the Passion and Resurrection.
Each day’s content includes brief meditations, specially crafted illustrations, thought-provoking reflection questions, heartfelt prayers curated to uplift your spirit, and ample journaling space for personal revelations and insights. Whether you’re journeying alone or with a group, Wilderness Within is your guide to a beautiful and renewing Lent.

Simply Scripture For Lent And Easter
$18.95Have you ever wished to recite scripture quotes off the top of your head? Or do you long to build a habit of daily scripture reading?
Having a doable plan to regularly and prayerfully engage scripture can make this practice sustainable for people with busy lives. Simply Scripture for Lent and Easter is the perfect place to begin. This daily prayer guide, keyed to the Lenten and Easter seasons, provides a simple framework for reading and reflection upon Mark’s Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. Bookend your day with morning and evening readings that incrementally walk you through these foundational books of the New Testament with greater confidence and understanding.
Without skipping a single word of the biblical text, Colleen Reiss Vermeulen, director of the Catholic Biblical School of Michigan, offers a unique, prayerful approach to spiritual reading that satisfies both the mind and heart. Vermeulen guides you to begin and end your day with a prayerful reading of short passages from a single book of scripture, an approach that she has used for years with her own family. Each day contains helpful context and thoughtful questions to help you uncover both the literal and spiritual senses of the text. Whether you follow this method on your own or read with your family or another small group, this simple process of daily prayer firmly grounded in scripture will help you get to know your Bible and draw you closer and closer to God.
From Ash Wednesday through the Easter season, each day’s prayerful reading follows a pattern inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours–inviting you to read and pray the Bible surrounded by heartfelt connections to God found in the Psalms. The daily pattern will quickly become familiar:
*First, contemplate a verse from the Liturgy of the Hours psalm.
*Second, read a citation from Mark’s gospel (during Lent) or the Acts of the Apostles (Easter) with a short introduction.
*Third, notice the weekly verse to remember and make an effort to memorize it throughout the week.
*Fourth, reflect on the actual meaning of the passage, what God is saying to you, and how it applies to your life.
*Finally, read the concluding prayer heard at Sunday Mass during Lent or Easter and traditionally used in the Liturgy of the Hours.
Simply Scripture for Lent and Easter is perfect for an individual or for the whole family to do together. Children can get to know the real Bible, not just the stories, and grow attuned to hearing God’s

When God Died
$15.00Mediations for Lent
“Did Christ die as God, or did He die as man? The answer to such a question is that He died as neither. What gives efficacy to the cross is the fact that Christ died as the God-man….The blood He shed, therefore, has abiding efficacy, seeing that it was the blood of an extraordinary nature, namely, the blood of God and Man combined.”
How could God, the deathless One, die? In When God Died, legendary Bible teacher Dr. Herbert Lockyer explores the person of Christ-both His divinity and humanity-in an effort to show the majesty of His death and resurrection, and what they mean to us today.
This series of Lenten meditations will open your eyes to the purpose, power, and beauty of Christ’s crucifixion. Among the topics you will explore are:
*The magnanimity and honor of Christ
*The cleansing power of His blood
*The sovereign power of His grace
*The last seven words Christ spoke from the crossMay we take the time to lovingly remember Christ’s sacrifice-the means of His extraordinary grace and power to save dying sinners-so that we may stand in rightful relationship with Christ, in awe of His holiness, power, and wisdom, with a heart of gratitude for all He has done.

Diario Santa Maria Faustina Ko – (Spanish)
$21.11The Diary is a dramatic telling of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska’s amazing encounter with The Divine Mercy – our Lord Jesus Christ. On Mercy Sunday 2006, Pope Benedict XVI said, “The mystery of the merciful love of God was the center of the pontificate of my venerable predecessor [Pope John Paul II] … evidencing that the devotion to Divine Mercy is not a secondary, but an integral dimension of a Christian’s faith and prayer.”
The Diary chronicles God’s invitation to turn to His mercy as a source of hope for the world. In it, we are reminded to trust in the Divine Mercy of Jesus and seek His forgiveness. And as Christ is merciful, so, too, are we instructed to be merciful to others.
The message of Divine Mercy has become an integral part of Catholic faith, including the celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy on the Sunday after Easter as Jesus had requested of St. Faustina. The Diary is truly a book that inspires people to turn with trust to Jesus and guides the reader through an intimate journey of prayer and devotion that ultimately leads to God’s mercy.
