  • Heaven Is A World Of Love

    $8.99

Of the many good gifts the Lord has given his church on earth, none exceeds that of his love. The things of this earth are temporary, but love never ends (1 Cor. 13:8)-it is a present taste of future glory, made available through communion with the Holy Spirit. In this classic work, Heaven Is a World of Love, Puritan pastor Jonathan Edwards encourages Christians struggling through the imperfect life here on earth to experience the perfect love of God through an exposition of the biblical foundations for the cause of God’s love, the objects of God’s love, the enjoyment of God’s love, and the fruits of God’s love. Each page of pastoral insight will leave readers hungry to experience more of God. Continue Reading Heaven Is A World Of Love

  • Expulsive Power Of A New Affection

    $7.99

Thomas Chalmers was a Scottish Presbyterian minister who served most of his life at St. John’s parish in Glasgow-a congregation that was both the largest and the poorest congregation in the city. Known for his extensive charitable work in caring for the poor and downtrodden, Chalmers was also an astute theologian. One of his most notable works is The Expulsive Power of a New Affection, in which Chalmers inspires his readers to remove the tangles of sin through the expulsive power of a new affection-desiring God. As a result of the fall, human feelings of love are often misplaced on the creation rather than the Creator. This classic work of the faith reorients our affections toward him. For those who are struggling in their daily walk with God, or living in the dark of night waiting for the light of day, there is hope. Encouragement for the Depressed, by esteemed 19th-century pastor Charles Spurgeon, is a gracious reminder that little faith is still saving faith. Spurgeon himself was not unfamiliar with depression, having dealt with it for most of his life. With personal experience and pastoral care, Spurgeon encourages both the new believer struggling to grasp the tenets of the faith and the experienced Christian struggling to enjoy the truths they once cherished to hold fast, for God is faithful. • Clasicos De La Fe Lutero

    $16.99

This volume contains two classics by Martin Luther: 95 Theses and The Bondage of the Will Theses: Originally written in 1517, this treatise is perhaps the most important text of the Reformation, at least in impact. These theses are Luther’s public argumentation against the common practices of the Roman Church, where he challenges the use of indulgences, the veneration of the Pope, among other things. The Bondage of the Will: First published in 1525, this masterpiece is Luther’s response to Desiderius Erasmus’ Diatribe on Free Will. In this book, Luther writes about man’s depravity and God’s sovereignty, especially regarding the salvation of mankind. Luther argues that man is only free to choose what his nature allows him to choose, and therefore he is always in bondage to his sin until God sovereignly intervenes in saving him. • Women Who Wrote

    $19.99

They wrote against all odds. Some wrote defiantly; some wrote desperately. Some wrote while trapped within the confines of status and wealth. Some wrote hand-to-mouth in abject poverty. Some wrote trapped in a room of their father’s house, and some went in search of a room of their own. They had lovers and families. They were sometimes lonely. Many wrote anonymously or under a pseudonym for a world not yet ready for their genius and talent.

We know many of their names-Austen and Alcott, Brontë and Browning, Wheatley and Woolf-though some may be less familiar. They are here, waiting to introduce themselves.

They marched through the world one by one or in small sisterhoods, speaking to each other and to us over distances of place and time. Pushing back against the boundaries meant to keep us in our place, they carved enough space for themselves to write. They made space for us to follow. Here they are gathered together, an army of women who wrote and an arsenal of words to inspire us. They walk with us as we forge our own paths forward.

These women wrote to change the world. Continue Reading Women Who Wrote

  • Persuasion Seasons Edition Summer

    $34.99

A fine exclusive edition of one of literature’s most beloved stories. Featuring a laser-cut jacket on a textured book with foil stamping, all titles in this series will be first editions. No more than 10,000 copies will be printed, and each will be individually numbered from 1 to 10,000.

He had seen you indeed, before he came to Bath, and admired you, but without knowing it was you. So says my historian, at least. Is this true? Did he see you last summer or autumn, ‘somewhere down in the west,’ to use her own words, without knowing it to be you?

At twenty-seven, Anne Elliot is no longer considered young enough for worthy romantic prospects. Eight years earlier, she had been persuaded by her friend Lady Russell to break off her engagement to Frederick Wentworth, a handsome naval captain with neither fortune nor rank. What transpires when they encounter each other again is movingly told in Jane Austen’s last completed novel. A brilliant satire of vanity and pretension, Persuasion is, above all, a love story tinged with the heartache of missed opportunities.

Persuasion (Seasons Edition–Summer) is one of four titles available in June 2020. The summer season will include Jane Eyre, the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and The Wonderland Collection. Continue Reading Persuasion Seasons Edition Summer
